Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer both modular solutions and custom design and build services for residential and commercial spaces. Visit our Start A Project page for full details.

  • When it comes to building spaces for children, choosing the right team matters. A children’s playroom, sensory room, or gross-motor space is not just another renovation. It is a specialized environment that must balance safety, function, durability, and beauty. This is where Movement Rooms Inc. stands apart.

Children’s spaces depend on precise details such as spacing between monkey bars, correct rung diameters, rock placement, fall zones, grip materials, proper anchoring, and entrapment spacing. These are technical decisions, not just aesthetic ones. Non-specialist builds often miss these hidden requirements, which can lead to unsafe conditions or non-compliant structures. When it comes to children’s spaces, experience matters.

  • We currently design and build custom spaces in and around the Greater Toronto Area (Canada). If you live outside of the GTA but within Canada or the US we would be happy to work with you on an modular space e-design and collaborate remotely with your local builder to execute the installation.

  • The price of a custom Movement Room depends on square footage and which elements you want to include. Please refer to our Start A Project page for details on the design & build process, and investment tiers.

To ensure alignment early on, investment ranges are shared during the inquiry process, prior to booking a discovery call.

  • There is no minimum or maximum amount of space required for an active playroom. Whether you have a 4’ blank wall or a 2,000 sq ft warehouse, we can create a space that will get your kiddos moving. Generally speaking, the more space kids have to move, the more time they spend playing, so consider clearing out a section of your basement or converting a sun-room, sitting room, or guest bedroom into a movement room!

For an adult fitness space, think about how much space you would need in order to do jumping jacks and yoga; that’s your minimum space. Now consider all you could do if you converted your rarely-used guest bedroom or basement space into an elegant fitness studio.

Remember, these spaces are beautiful so you’ll want them on display!

  • We always take longevity into consideration when designing your Movement Room. These spaces are built to adapt to your growing children. Interchangeable accessories can be switched out as desired and with a few tweaks, your playroom can be turned into a teen or adult fitness space.
